As the number and success of our clients has grown, so has our brokerage, across three generations of insurance professionals. The founding broker, Bert Walters, began a small practice in northern Toronto in 1948. Doug Walters succeeded as President in 1969, and John Walters became President in 1991. Today, with more than 50 personnel, The Hallmark Group of Companies (Navigators Insurance Brokers, Hallmark Financial Planning, Ontario Underwriting Services and Hallmark Insurance Brokers) are able to provide a wide range of services to over 10,000 personal and more than 5,000 organizational clients. Navigators Insurance is firmly rooted in the Greater Toronto Area, providing comprehensive service to Canadian corporations who are active domestically and internationally.
While Hallmark is focused on our corporate and commercial clients, Hallmark Financial Planning provides not only employee life & health benefits, but personal financial planning and wealth management. Navigators, on the other hand, is our business-to-consumer brand, exclusively focused on the insurance needs of individuals and families, such as hone and car insurance as well as coverage for cottages and recreational vehicles.
